One truck carries the weight of twenty cars. Henrik runs the arithmetic live. A passenger car covering 20,000 km a year at 7 l/100 km burns around 1,400 litres. A highway truck covering 100,000 to 150,000 km at 27 to 30 l/100 km sits roughly a factor of twenty higher. Replacing one heavy-duty vehicle does the work of replacing twenty cars.
The triangle diesel never needed. Three roles move goods electrically: the shipper, the fleet owner, and the charge point operator. The structure looks familiar until you notice the new line running between the shipper and the energy supply. Nobody produces their own diesel. Anyone can produce their own electricity, and that single change rewrites who holds leverage.
You are selling a change, not a vehicle. Henrik describes a commercial job that extended far past the truck: helping fleet owners install depot charging, lobbying in Brussels for infrastructure mandates, and eventually buying electric transport at Volvo so the company walked its own talk.
Electrification does not scale like software. Trucks, customers and chargers do not replicate by pushing a button. Adoption grows as geographic seeds, one depot and one corridor at a time, until the seeds meet and a network appears.
